Climate change lecture

Professor Kevin Anderson, Deputy-Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of Manchester, gave a public lecture on 23 January 2018 hosted by the CPRE Northwest Regional Group.

This nationally touring play was held at Tarporley Community Hall.

This year's AGM was held on Thursday, 31st May 2018 at 7pm, and featured Councillor Rachel Bailey talking on HS2 and Cheshire.

CPRE Lancashire was delighted to host over 50 people at their public meeting about planning a green future for the Liverpool City Region on Thursday 19th July, at the Quaker Meeting House, Liverpool.

More and better regeneration of brownfield land

This event was hosted by our neighbours, CPRE Lancashire, in Manchester on March 26th, and brought together politicians, academics, planners and members of the public to promote discussion on the best way to achieve effective reuse of brownfield land.

Friends of the Peak District, who represent CPRE in the Peak District, have organised a on Saturday April 13th which offers the ideal opportunity to get to know Cheshire's hilly eastern fringes better - and walkers will be rewarded with cake on completion of the 21-mile route!

Branch AGM 2019

Cheshire Branch's AGM was held at  7pm on May 9th, at Willington Hall in Willington, Tarporley, and members also listened to a fascinating talk by Emeritus Professor of Landscape Ecology, Andrew Hull, Chairman of the Sandstone Ridge Trust.
