CPRE Cheshire AGM CPRE Cheshire AGM Becca Nelson

This year's AGM was held on Thursday, 31st May 2018 at 7pm, and featured Councillor Rachel Bailey talking on HS2 and Cheshire.

There was a very good turnout for this year's AGM. The business meeting was completed quickly, with Geoffrey Budenberg taking the opportunity to record his thanks for the sterling service given by Andrew Needham as Chariman in his six years in the position. Andrew has now served the maxiumum length of time in post allowed by the constitution of the charity, and a replacement is being sought.

Following this, the focal point for the evening was a presentation given by Councillor Rachel Bailey, Leader of Cheshire East Council, and Andrew Ross, who is the lead for Cheshire East on technical aspects of the scheme, about how HS2 will affect Cheshire.

The meeting was held at The Victoria Hall, Civic Way, off Lewin Street, Middlewich, CW10 9BX.

There were a number of questions and a lively debate took place following the presentation. The evening concluded with tea and biscuits.
